I just, as respectfully as they allow, disagree with the agenda of forced tolerance by the most In Case You Haven’t Noticed I’m Weird I’m a Weirdo I don’t fit on and I don’t want to fit in shirt group I have ever come across. Phobia means fear. Find a new word that fits. That’s gotta be rough when you deflect the puck to make it score against your team. The crowd tonite would appear NOT to agree so much with this form of mental conditioning. Last time I noticed, nobody is asked about their, sexual or religious beliefs when buying tix or entering the building. This is another example of political correctness run amuck.
Why would you need to state the In Case You Haven’t Noticed I’m Weird I’m a Weirdo I don’t fit on and I don’t want to fit in shirt? Do you know how the NHL or the Canes play for everyone? When you’re clueless about the fact that gay people are still denied rights in many places in North Carolina. I heard plenty of cheering and applause during all the pride related moments. While your correct that people are not asked personal questions when buying tickets, they still get treated poorly by those with poor social skills and ancient ideas.
They are made to feel unwelcome by individuals and not the team. This is a reaffirmation that the team wants everyone to feel welcome. If people could handle going to the games and minding their own business, there would be no need for these events. Hockey teams do not discriminate. They sell tickets to everyone, they don’t ask what you classify yourself as.
